Ken Dowlin

Former director of the San Francisco Public Library, inaugurated in April 1996 with 200 workstations for user access to Internet. From the mid-seventies Ken Dowlin was heading Pikes Peak Library, implementing as first public library worldwide an online catalogue for users in 1977. 'The Electronic Library' was published by Ken Dowlin in 1984.
